From modest beginnings as a small British motorcycle clothing brand that started life in a converted barn, Merlin has now grown into an internationally respected motorcycle apparel brand within just a few short years.

History

Back in 2012, Merlin was formed with one goal; to redefine what was possible from motorcycle riding apparel by delivering products loaded with innovation, high quality components and fabrics, at every-day prices. The 5 founding team members brought over 30 years of experience from the motorcycle industry to launch this new project, with a real passion for motorcycling a key component. Drawing on this vast experience and passion, the team launched a small yet exciting collection. This first collection was built on what the founders believed riders wanted but could not find; motorcycle riding apparel that redefined expectations, showcased personality and complimented the motorcycle without compromising on safety, function or performance. It is these core principles that are still embedded in the brand today and are delivered at an affordable price.

Merlin holds many license agreements with suppliers, including the world renown Halley Stevensons of Dundee, the original and leading supplier of Waxed Cotton, who have been in operation since 1864. Alongside the likes of Outlast®, DuPont™ abrasion-resistant textiles, D3O® leading impact armour and the UK’s finest tartan weaver Marton Mills®, Merlin continues to work closely with the best suppliers, which has even included joint product collaborations and the development of exclusive materials to ensure Merlin bike gear remains unique and some of the best riding apparel on the market. Whatever your riding need is, Merlin has a product that meets that demand; designed, developed and tested to the highest standards.
